Why Arcadia Needs Specialist DStv Installers
Arcadia is central Pretoria near Union Buildings, Sunnyside, Hatfield, with high-density apartments, flats, old houses converted to communes, student accommodation, embassies, and many blocks with communal dishes on roof. Parking limited, high walls, access controlled. A standard house installation won’t work here.
Arcadia flat & apartment challenges: most Arcadia blocks don’t allow private dishes on balconies – must use communal system or get body corporate approval, old Arcadia buildings have thin white cable from 90s must be replaced with SABS black UV double shielded, many Arcadia flats have only one TV point need extra points, Highveld storms move communal dishes, Pretoria lightning kills LNBs on high roofs, cable theft copper.
At Fox Satellites we check for Arcadia: line of sight for IS20 satellite Arcadia central high buildings may block low angle, building rules we know most Arcadia block managers body corporate HOA requirements – hidden dish behind parapet colour matched, existing communal system health many Arcadia blocks have old communal dishes with faulty multiswitches where one flat has no signal while others do – we test at distribution board, and cable condition old Arcadia flats have thin white cable that must be replaced. We use professional satellite meter not just TV signal bar to lock 95%+ quality even in city high density.
Arcadia typical home: 1-2 bedroom flat, bachelor, student commune, old house converted to 6 rooms, embassy flat. Need DStv neat small space no cables visible. We do ExtraView for flat sharing, communal repairs, additional TV points. Call 073 442 7665 or visit foxsatellites.co.za
