COMMON IN SHERE — WHY SIGNAL FAILS HERE
Tired of No Signal in Shere?
Every Pretoria East suburb has its own roof, tree and estate character. Shere has specific issues we fix with a meter, not guesswork. Shere has borehole pumps causing 50Hz interference — we use filtered Smart LNB and separate power.
SMALLHOLDING OPEN WIND 60M
Smallholding open to Highveld wind, 100m from house to gate, 60m+ cable
Shere smallholdings are open, no wind break, 90km/h gusts, dish on house roof moves, plus distance from house to entertainment lapa 60m+ causes signal loss. We fit heavy-duty 80cm 1.2mm with wind bracing, concrete base pole mount, not roof, low-loss SABS twin-shield, measure MER 14.2dB+ at decoder, fit amp only if needed.
SMALLHOLDING BRACED
AH THATCH & BARNS NO DRILL
Thatched barns and lapas you cannot drill, fire risk
Shere AH has thatched barns, stables, lapas — you cannot drill into thatch, fire risk and body corporate bans. We use non-penetrating pole mount with concrete base or wall clamp on brick pillar, run cable in UV-rated conduit along fence line, not over thatch, trace per building with Promax.
THATCH SAFE • POLE BASE
NO FIBRE DUST CORROSION
No fibre, dust from gravel road corrodes F-connectors, Explora offline
Shere has no fibre, Explora needs offline setup, dust from gravel roads corrodes F-connectors, causes intermittent E48-32. We use compression F-connectors + silicone boot + dielectric grease, set Explora offline mode, show MyDStv app offline update via phone hotspot, clean dish quarterly tip.
