Local DSTV Experts — Right Here in Croydon
Croydon isn’t Birchleigh or Glen Marais — it’s right next to OR Tambo airport with smallholdings, open fields, high Highveld wind exposure, and long distances from dish to house. That brings its own DSTV headaches: dishes ripped by wind, dust in F-cons, 30m+ coax runs across yards, and line-of-sight issues where you need height over fences and outbuildings to clear Intelsat 20.
Our team is based 13 mins away in Kempton Park Central, not in Johannesburg. That means we’re in Croydon for real call-outs, with a bakkie stocked for the suburb: 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved dishes (not the undersized 60cm), SANS-approved foam-filled coax for long smallholding runs, Smart LNBs pre-tested for Extra View and Xtraview, 3m pole mounts for line-of-sight over walls and Wendy houses, heavy-duty 38mm galvanised brackets and concrete-in mounts for Highveld wind, and non-penetrating mounts where estates require them. Flat rate quoted on WhatsApp before we arrive.

Common DSTV Issues in Croydon
Every suburb has its own DSTV character. Here are the issues we see most often in Croydon — open fields, airport wind, smallholdings — and how we fix them on site.
Mature Tree Signal Block
Croydon is open but outbuildings, Wendy houses and boundary walls block Intelsat 20. We use 3m pole mounts, concrete-in bases and high-gain LNBs for clear line-of-sight.

Old Rusty Brackets & 60cm Dishes
Original 60cm dishes in Croydon are rusted and shifted by open-field Highveld wind and airport turbulence. We replace with 80cm high-gain, new 38mm galvanised brackets and SANS 1010 docs.
✔ Fixed same-day in Croydon
Complex & Estate Restrictions
Croydon smallholdings often share access roads and HOAs. We use 3m pole mounts, non-penetrating mounts where needed and WhatsApp group approval so you don’t chase the manager.

DSTV FAQ — Croydon
Real questions from Croydon smallholding homeowners. Flat rates, no call-out surprises.
My Croydon decoder shows E48 — can you fix it today? ▼
Yes — 90% of E48-32 in Croydon is cracked white RG6 across open ground or a wind-shifted 60cm dish. We carry SANS-approved black foam-filled coax, waterproof F-cons, 80cm high-gain dishes and 3m poles on every van. Typical fix 45 mins in Croydon, meter-locked to 90%+ strength & quality, 12-month warranty.
Can you fix DSTV signal loss in Croydon after a storm? ▼
Absolutely. Croydon open fields get hammered by Highveld storms. We carry spare 38mm galvanised brackets, concrete-in 3m poles, SANS coax, and waterproofing. We realign with HD meter to Intelsat 20 @ 68.5°E, replace waterlogged coax, earth bond, and test all Unicable ports. Same-day response in Croydon, no Johannesburg surcharge.
Do you work in Croydon estates and smallholdings? ▼
Yes — we specialise in Croydon AH and surrounding smallholdings. We use 3m pole mounts for line-of-sight over walls and outbuildings, long-run SANS coax for AH properties, and non-penetrating mounts where drilling is banned. WhatsApp HOA approval handled in 30 mins.
What guarantee do you offer in Croydon? ▼
12 months workmanship + parts on all Croydon jobs. SANS 10142 compliant, insured, DSTV-approved hardware, 80cm dishes only, SANS-approved coax only. If signal drops below 90%+ in warranty period due to our workmanship or Highveld wind shift, we return free. Flat rate quoted on WhatsApp before we arrive.
How do I book a DSTV technician for Croydon? ▼
