Local DSTV Experts — Right Here in Bredell
Bredell isn’t a typical suburb — it’s smallholdings and large plots with open, windy terrain, long driveways and huge distances from the boundary wall to the house. That means DSTV installs here need 40-60m cable runs, 3m pole mounts to get above wind-shear and outbuildings, and 80cm high-gain dishes that stay locked when the Highveld wind hits. The 60cm dishes from 15 years ago just don’t cut it here.
Our team is based 14 mins away in Kempton Park Central, not in Johannesburg. That means we’re in Bredell daily with a bakkie stocked for Bredell: 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved dishes (not the undersized 60cm), 38mm galvanised poles and brackets for open windy terrain, SANS-approved foam-filled coax for 60m runs, Smart LNBs pre-tested for Unicable and Extra View balancing across large homes, and waterproof F-cons with proper earthing. We quote flat rates on WhatsApp before we arrive and we photograph landlord installations.

Common DSTV Issues in Bredell
Every suburb has its own DSTV character. Here are the issues we see most often in Bredell — and how we fix them on site.
Mature Tree Signal Block
Bredell plots have dense trees and outbuildings blocking Intelsat 20. Add long 60m runs losing signal. We use 3m galvanised pole mounts, 80cm high-gain dishes and SANS coax to clear it.
✔ Fixed same-day in Bredell
Old Rusty Brackets & 60cm Dishes
Many Bredell smallholdings still have original 60cm rusted dishes on thin brackets that twist in open windy terrain. We replace with 80cm DSTV-approved, 38mm galvanised poles, concrete footing and earth bonding.
✔ Fixed same-day in Bredell
Complex & Estate Restrictions
Long 60m cable runs from street pole to main house cause E48-32 and Extra View failures. We replace with SANS foam-filled black coax, waterproof F-cons, balance and document for owner.

DSTV FAQ — Bredell
Real questions from Bredell homeowners. Flat rates, no call-out surprises.
My Bredell decoder shows E48 — can you fix it today? ▼
Yes — 90% of E48-32 in Bredell is cracked coax from long 60m runs, water in F-cons, or a shifted 60cm dish after open-terrain wind. We carry SANS-approved black coax for long runs, waterproof F-cons, Smart LNBs and 80cm dishes on every van. Typical fix 45 mins on site, meter-locked to 90%+ in Bredell.
Can you fix DSTV signal loss in Bredell after a storm? ▼
Absolutely. Bredell smallholdings are very exposed — Highveld wind twists pole mounts and lifts thin brackets. We realign with a digital HD meter to Strength 94% / Quality 87%, replace rusted 60cm with 80cm wind-rated, fit 38mm galvanised pole with concrete if needed, and rebond earth. Same-day in Bredell most days.
Do you work in Bredell estates and smallholdings with long cable runs? ▼
Yes — that’s our specialty in Bredell. We do 60m runs properly: SANS foam-filled coax, no joins in the open veld, waterproof F-cons, Unicable balancing for Extra View across big houses, and pole mounts clear of trees and outbuildings. We handle WhatsApp HOA approval where needed.
What guarantee do you offer in Bredell? ▼
12 months workmanship + parts, SANS 10142 compliant, insured and DSTV-approved hardware only. If your Bredell signal drops due to our install or bracket in the Highveld wind, we return free. We also bond earth properly for smallholding lightning protection.
