Local DSTV Experts — Right Here in Nimrod Park
Nimrod Park isn’t estate living or dense complex blocks — it’s industrial edge but family homes, mixed housing from older face-brick houses to newer townhouses, rentals and small business fronts near Pomona and Isando. That mix brings its own DSTV issues: exposed open stretches that funnel Highveld wind and shift light 60cm dishes, old 60cm dishes that were never upgraded from early 2000s installs, low wall mounts on vibracrete and face-brick that rust, and cheap white RG6 coax with DIY joins that cracks in the sun and lets water in, dropping signal to E48-32.
Our team is based 6 mins away in Kempton Park Central, not in Johannesburg. That means we’re in Nimrod Park for real call-outs, with a bakkie stocked for the suburb: 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved dishes (not the undersized 60cm), SANS-approved double-shielded foam-filled coax, Smart LNBs pre-tested for Unicable / Extra View, 38mm galvanised heavy-duty brackets for wind-exposed industrial edge, compression waterproof F-cons, earth bonding and proper levelling. We do SANS 10142-compliant fixings for mixed rentals and family homes and balance levels for complex splitters. Flat rate quoted on WhatsApp before we arrive.

Common DSTV Issues in Nimrod Park
Every suburb has its own DSTV character. Here are the issues we see most often in Nimrod Park — and how we fix them on site.
Wind-Exposed Dishes on Industrial Edge
Nimrod Park sits on Kempton’s industrial edge — open, flat, wind-exposed with no big trees for shelter. Light 60cm dishes on thin brackets shift in every Highveld gust. We install 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved dishes with 38mm galvanised heavy-duty brackets, rawl-bolted to brick, earth bonded for storms.
✔ Fixed same-day in Nimrod Park
Old 60cm Dishes & Rusted Brackets
Many Nimrod Park family homes still have original 60cm dishes from early 2000s — undersized, rusted, bent, with rusted wall mounts. They can’t hold lock in wind. We replace with SANS 1010 docs, new 80cm dish, galvanised bracket rated for wind-exposed edge, waterproofing and realignment to 90%+.
✔ Fixed same-day in Nimrod Park
Mixed Housing Non-SANS Coax
Family homes, rentals and townhouses side-by-side means DIY coax joins, cheap white RG6, cracked F-cons letting water in, long joins causing E48-32. We replace with SANS-approved double-shielded foam-filled black coax, compression waterproof connectors, proper splitters and balance for Extra View.
✔ Fixed same-day in Nimrod Park

My Nimrod Park decoder shows E48 — can you fix it today? ▼
Yes — in Nimrod Park E48-32 is usually wind-shifted 60cm dish on the industrial edge or cracked white RG6 with DIY joins in mixed rentals. We carry SANS-approved black foam-filled coax, waterproof compression F-cons, 80cm high-gain dishes, Smart LNBs. Typical fix 45 mins on site, meter-locked to 94%/87% — flat rate quoted before we arrive.

Absolutely. Nimrod Park’s wind-exposed industrial edge gets hammered after Highveld thunderstorms — dish nudged, rusted brackets bent, water in non-SANS coax. We realign with Promax HD Ranger to Intelsat 20 @ 68.5°E, replace with 80cm dish and 38mm galvanised heavy-duty bracket, re-do SANS coax, waterproof, earth bond. Same-day in Nimrod Park, 6 mins from Kempton Park Central.
