Local DSTV Experts — Right Here in Edleen
Edleen isn’t just another Kempton Park suburb — it’s very sought-after, upmarket, quiet, and built around secure estate living. Mature tree-lined streets, manicured gardens, sectional-title complexes and retirement villages nearby. That creates very specific DSTV challenges: HOA committees that forbid drilling into roof tiles, body-corporate rules about dish visibility, retirement village access protocols with ID and time-slots, and 20-year-old jacarandas blocking line-of-sight to Intelsat 20.
Our team is based 4 mins away in Kempton Park Central, not in Johannesburg. That means we’re in Edleen for real same-day call-outs, with a bakkie stocked for estate work: 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved dishes (not the undersized 60cm that fail in Edleen wind), SANS-approved foam-filled coax, Smart LNBs pre-tested for Extra View and Explora, non-drill, non-penetrating weighted mounts, flat-roof ballast mounts, parapet clamps, 3m pole mounts for tree-block, and 38mm galvanised brackets for Highveld storms. We handle WhatsApp HOA approval and body-corporate group messages so you don’t chase the estate manager. Retirement village DSTV? We know the routine, gate access, quiet hours, and weekend drilling bans.

Mature Tree Signal Block
Edleen’s very sought-after gardens have 20-30 year old oak & jacaranda trees. 70% of Edleen E48 calls are tree-blocked line-of-sight to Intelsat 20. We use low-profile mounts, 3m poles where HOA allows, trim advice, high-gain LNBs.

DSTV FAQ — Edleen
Real questions from Edleen homeowners and estate residents. Flat rates, no call-out surprises, HOA-friendly.
My Edleen decoder shows E48 — can you fix it today? ▼
Yes — 90% of E48-32 in Edleen is either mature tree block, rusted 60cm dish shifted by airport wind, or cracked white RG6 from the 90s. In upmarket estates it often needs a non-drill mount to comply with HOA. We carry 80cm high-gain dishes, SANS-approved black foam-filled coax, waterproof F-cons, Smart LNBs, and non-penetrating estate mounts on every van. Typical fix 45 mins on site in Edleen, meter-locked to 90%+ strength & 87% quality, 12-month warranty, HOA photos included.
Can you fix DSTV signal loss in Edleen after a storm? ▼
Absolutely. Highveld storms move Edleen dishes and flood old coax. After a storm we are in Edleen daily with spare 38mm galvanised brackets, SANS coax, waterproofing, and non-drill ballast mounts for estates that forbid roof drilling. We realign with Promax HD Ranger to Intelsat 20 @ 68.5°E, replace waterlogged coax, earth bond, test all Unicable ports for Explora. Same-day response in Edleen, 4 mins from base.
Do you work in Edleen estates and retirement villages? ▼
Yes — Edleen is our specialist area for estate living. We specialise in Edleen, Glen Marais, Van Riebeeck Park, Glen Erasmia complexes and retirement villages nearby. We use non-penetrating weighted mounts where drilling is banned, flat-roof and parapet solutions, handle WhatsApp HOA group approval (30 mins typical), and work around body-corporate roof space rules, weekend drilling bans, and retirement village quiet hours. ID, time-slot booking, and access included.
What guarantee do you offer in Edleen? ▼
12 months workmanship + parts on all Edleen jobs — estate or freehold. SANS 10142 compliant, insured, DSTV-approved hardware, SANS-approved coax only, earth bonded. If signal drops below 90%+ in warranty period due to our workmanship, we return free, including re-approval with HOA if needed. Flat rate quoted on WhatsApp before we arrive, no hidden estate surcharge.
