FROM PRETORIA WEST
Les Marais isn’t Centurion or Johannesburg – its a family suburb of face-brick homes, mature trees that have grown into Intelsat 20 line-of-sight, shared roof space in complexes, and estate sections with strict HOA rules about drilling and dish placement. We see it daily: tree-block dropping quality to 40%, water in cracked coax from low-slope roofs, and sectional-titles where body-corporates share roofs and ban weekend drilling.
Our team is based 5 mins away in Pretoria West Central, not Johannesburg. That means we’re in Les Marais for real call-outs, with a bakkie stocked for the suburb: 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved dishes (not the undersized 60cm that fails in tree block), SANS-approved foam-filled coax, Smart LNBs pre-tested for complex splitters, 3m pole mounts to clear face-brick walls and trees, and non-penetrating mounts for estate sections and shared-roof complexes that require them. We handle WhatsApp HOA approval so you don’t have to chase the estate manager.

Every suburb has its own DSTV character. Here are the issues we see most often in Les Marais – and how we fix them on site.
🌳
Face-Brick Tree Block
70% of Les Marais calls are blocked by mature trees over face-brick walls that grew into line-of-sight. We use 3m pole mounts, 80cm high-gain dishes and high-gain LNBs in clear Intelsat 20 slots. No tree cutting needed.

🔩
Shared Roofs & Estate Sections
Les Marais family complexes have shared roofs and estate sections that ban drilling and weekend work. We use non-penetrating mounts, ballast frames, and WhatsApp HOA group approval so you don’t chase the estate manager.

Old 60cm Dishes & Water Ingress
Original 60cm dishes from family suburb builds are rusted and let rain in via cracked coax. We replace with SANS 1010 spec, new 80cm, galvanised wall brackets for Highveld storms and waterproof F-cons.

DSTV FAQ — Les Marais
Real questions from Les Marais homeowners. Flat rates, no call-out surprises.
Tip for estates: Most Les Marais estate sections need a 30-minute WhatsApp HOA approval. Send us your estate name and we handle the HOA message – we’ve done 80+ in Pretoria West alone. Shared roofs need non-drill mounts.
My Les Marais decoder shows E48 – can you fix it today? ▼
Yes. E48 in Les Marais is almost always tree-block over face-brick plus old 60cm dish losing lock. We carry 80cm high-gain dishes, new SANS coax and Smart LNBs. Realigned to 90%+ on our HD meter, E48 cleared on site, 45-min average. Flat rate quoted on WhatsApp – no surprises – and we send landlord/estate photos if needed.
Can you fix DSTV signal loss in Les Marais after a storm? ▼
Absolutely. Pretoria West wind knocks face-brick brackets loose and drives water into cracked F-cons. We re-align with digital meter, replace rusted 38mm brackets, re-waterproof with butyl and silicone, replace waterlogged coax with foam-filled SANS-approved coax and earth bond. Same-day within 5 mins of Les Marais.
Do you work in Les Marais estates and sectional-titles with shared roofs? ▼
Yes – that’s our specialty in Les Marais family suburb. Estate sections and shared-roof complexes don’t allow drilling without approval. We bring non-penetrating ballast mounts, WhatsApp HOA approval templates, and we work weekdays with estate clearance. We’ve done 80+ estate jobs in Pretoria West. Just send the estate name on WhatsApp.
What guarantee do you offer in Les Marais? ▼
12-month workmanship guarantee on all Les Marais jobs: dish alignment, cabling, waterproofing and LNB. Hardware has manufacturer warranty. If signal drops below 85% within warranty due to our install, we return free. Flat rate quoted before arrival – no extra call-out fee for Les Marais.
