Local DSTV Experts — Right Here in Proclamation Hill
Proclamation Hill isn’t flat Pretoria — it’s a hillside ridge suburb exposed to Pretoria West wind. That means alignment drifts, 60cm dishes that worked in the city drop to 60-70% here, and mature trees on lower stands block Intelsat 20 completely. We’ve learned that high-gain dish is essential in Proclamation Hill, not optional. Most homes need a true 80cm DSTV-approved dish on a 38mm galvanised pole or wall bracket, not a thin strap mount.
Our team is based 3 mins away in Pretoria West Central, not Johannesburg. That means we’re in Proclamation Hill for real call-outs daily, with a bakkie stocked for this suburb: 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved dishes (not the undersized 60cm), SANS-approved foam-filled coax, Smart LNBs pre-tested for complex splitters, 3m pole mounts for tree block bypass, and non-penetrating mounts for complexes that require them. We handle WhatsApp body-corporate approval so you don’t chase the estate manager. Whether you’re on the ridge top with wind shear or on the slope with tree fringe, we earth-bond, waterproof, and align to 90%+ locked first time in Proclamation Hill.

Common DSTV Issues in Proclamation Hill
Every suburb has its own DSTV character. Here are the issues we see most often in Proclamation Hill — and how we fix them on site.
Proclamation Hill hillside ridge is windy — 60cm dishes flex and lose 20-30% quality. Many original installs drift within months. We replace with 80cm high-gain dish essential for Proclamation Hill, 38mm galvanised bracket, pole reinforcement and realignment to 94%/87%.
✔ Fixed same-day in Proclamation Hill
In lower Proclamation Hill, mature trees block Intelsat 20 after summer growth. Tree block needs pole mounts — not trimming every season. We use 3m pole mounts above the canopy, high-gain LNBs and SANS coax reroutes to restore 90%+ locked.
✔ Fixed same-day in Proclamation Hill
Proclamation Hill complexes on slopes need pole mounts and non-drill solutions on precast walls. We use galvanised wall arms, weighted bases, and WhatsApp HOA photos. High-gain dish essential and 38mm brackets are estate-approved for windy ridge.
