FROM PRETORIA WEST

Schurweberg isn’t Centurion or Midrand — it’s smallholdings, open veld terrain, windy plots with long distances from house to boundary, and properties that need proper 3m pole mounts — not a quick wall bracket. We see it daily: loose poles shaking in Highveld wind, under-sized 60cm dishes losing lock, cheap braid coax running 50m+ with joins that let water in, and low signal because the dish is tucked behind a farm shed.

Our team is based 6 mins away in Pretoria West Central, not in Johannesburg. That means we’re in Schurweberg for real call-outs, with a bakkie stocked for the suburb: 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved dishes (not the undersized 60cm), SANS-approved foam-filled coax for long runs, Smart LNBs pre-tested for complex splitters, 3m 38mm galvanised poles concreted into the ground, stay-wires for open terrain wind, and waterproof glands. We handle WhatsApp plot location pins, gate codes, and farm access so you don’t chase the technician. We quote flat rate on WhatsApp before we arrive — no hourly surprises.

Common DSTV Issues in Schurweberg

Every suburb has its own DSTV character. Here are the issues we see most often in Schurweberg — and how we fix them on site.

💨
Wind Shake & Open Terrain Drift
75% of Schurweberg calls are wind-related — open plots catch Highveld wind and shake light poles. We use 3m x 38mm galvanised poles with 0.6m concrete footings, stay-wires and wind-rated brackets.
✔ Fixed same-day in Schurweberg

🔗
Long Runs & Joins Let Water In
Many Schurweberg plots have 40-80m coax runs with joins in the veldgrass. Cheap braid coax corrodes. We replace with SANS-approved foam-filled coax, compression F-cons and no joins where possible.
✔ Fixed same-day in Schurweberg

🚩
Undersized 60cm & Rusted 3m Poles
Original 60cm dishes + rusted light poles can’t hold lock in Schurweberg wind. We upgrade to 80cm high-gain DSTV-approved, new galvanised 3m pole, earth bonded with SANS compliance cert.
✔ Fixed same-day in Schurweberg

DSTV FAQ — Schurweberg

Real questions from Schurweberg smallholding owners. Flat rates, no call-out surprises.

Tip for plots: Most Schurweberg smallholdings benefit from a concreted 3m pole — wind won’t shift it. Send us your plot pin + a photo of the current dish and we quote the full fix on WhatsApp with SANS coax length included — we fixed 40+ in Schurweberg this winter.

My Schurweberg decoder shows E48 – can you fix it today? ▼
Yes — E48 in Schurweberg is almost always wind shift or long coax failure. We come same-day with 80cm dish, 3m pole kit, foam-filled coax and Smart LNB tester. We test on our meter first, realign to 90%+ and replace water-damaged cable. Flat rate confirmed on WhatsApp before we dispatch from Pretoria West — 6 mins away. Photos of your setup help.
Can you fix DSTV signal loss in Schurweberg after wind / storm? ▼
Absolutely. Open terrain plots get the worst gusts. We check pole plumb, bracket corrosion, LNB rubber seal and long-run coax continuity. If your pole moves in wind we replace with 38mm galvanised 3m pole concreted 600mm deep with stay-wire kit — that’s Highveld SANS spec for Schurweberg smallholdings. Includes re-earthing and waterproofing.
Do you do 3m pole mounts and long cable runs in Schurweberg plots? ▼
Yes — that’s our specialty for Schurweberg. We carry 3m 38mm galvanised poles, concrete, stay kits, and 100m drums of SANS-approved double-shield foam coax. We avoid unnecessary joins, install drip loops and UV-rated trunking for long smallholding runs. We also do trenching advice and rodent-proof sleeves for open veld. Whatsapp your plot size for an accurate cable estimate — flat rate includes length.
What guarantee do you offer in Schurweberg? ▼
12-month workmanship guarantee on all dish, pole, LNB and alignment work in Schurweberg. Plus manufacturer warranty on DSTV-approved hardware. If wind knocks signal below 80% in first year and it’s our mount, we return free and add bracing. SANS 10142 compliant earthing and coax included — quote stays flat rate after WhatsApp confirmation.
How do I book a DSTV technician for Schurweberg? ▼
WhatsApp 073 442 7665 with your plot pin / address + issue (E48, wind, new install). We reply within minutes with flat rate for Schurweberg, not Johannesburg prices. Same-day slots are available 7 days — we are 6 mins from Schurweberg in Pretoria West so we can often do 2-hour response. Or call 073 442 7665 and ask for Schurweberg same-day.
